Roof & Dormer Work

In keeping with our post-Thanksgiving tradition, we spent that weekend doing exterior work at Woodside. Like most things around here, in order to get one thing done, you have to do about three other things first. We wanted to get our new roof installed before winter, but needed to rebuild the third floor dormers and frame out the chimneys inside the house first.

After we finished the dormers, our roofers arrived to put a new roof on the main part of the house and build the chimneys. If you remember, we kept all the bricks from the original chimneys; our masons have started cutting those and will hopefully begin the installation process soon (depending on the weather).

As we move into the winter months, we’ll be doing more work on the interior of the house, including framing the second and third floors. We’re also nearly finished with the main floor kitchen, so stay tuned for a post on that soon. Happy Holidays & Happy New Year!
